Cape Town Cycle Tour

The Cape Town Cycle Tour takes riders on a spectacular 109 km journey around the Cape Peninsula and is South Africa’s premier mass-participation cycling event.

With a vehicle-free route, cyclists can enjoy the freedom of the open road, vibrant roadside support, and breathtaking ocean views from Chapman’s Peak. This ride is truly a bucket-list experience.

Each year, around 30,000 cyclists take part across three routes. The flagship 109 km route starts at the Grand Parade and circles the Cape Peninsula. The 78 km Invitational Women’s Race and the U17 Boys Race both start from Fish Hoek and finish in Green Point. For the fourth consecutive year, the 42 km route will take riders from the Grand Parade through the Southern Suburbs before finishing in the city centre.
