Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts

Summer Sunset Concert series at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden in Cape Town is here, featuring an exciting lineup of beloved South African performers.

Starting with the energetic Mi Casa, the series spans 17 weeks until March 31st, coinciding with the arrival of autumn. Throughout the summer, music enthusiasts can enjoy performances by renowned artists such as Lloyiso, Mango Groove, the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, Emo and Loukmaan Adams, among others.

For food enthusiasts, food trucks will be available at every show, offering a diverse selection of delicious options. Attendees are also welcome to bring their own picnic or pre-order from the Kirstenbosch Tea Room or Moyo Restaurant five days in advance.

Unless otherwise specified, gates will open at 4 pm on concert days. Here’s the lineup between February and March (subject to change):

February 4: Unity at Kirstenbosch with Emo and Loukmaan Adams
February 11: The Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra
February 18: Matthew Mole
February 22: Deacon Blue (Gates open at 6 pm, International act brought by Breakout)
February 23: Xavier Rudd (Gates open at 6 pm, International act brought by Breakout)
February 25: Mandisi Dyantyis
March 3: The Golden Oldies
March 10: Fokofpolisiekar
March 17: Goodluck and Craig Lucas
March 24: Sun-El Musician and Simmy
March 31 (Easter Sunday): Neon Dreams and Ard Matthews

Tickets can be booked through Webtickets, at Pick n Pay stores nationwide, and at the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden gate.

Please note that these concerts are non-smoking events, and there will be no designated smoking areas anywhere at the venue, with a strict zero-tolerance approach to smoking.
