Zeitz MOCAA Rings in a Vibrant Silo Centenary Celebration on Heritage Day

Join us to celebrate Heritage Day at Zeitz MOCAA for the Silo Centenary Celebration on 24 September 2024! This event marks 100 years since the famous Grain Silo building was built and celebrates seven years of Africa’s largest museum dedicated to contemporary art from Africa and its Diaspora.

On this special day, which coincides with South Africa’s Heritage Day, we will offer free access to the museum. Enjoy a lively outdoor food court, art workshops, DJ performances, multilingual tours, an architecture exhibition, and a live music concert.

Visitors can also take advantage of a special September Membership Discount, making it a great time to join our museum community. The celebration takes place at the V&A Waterfront’s Silo District, combining history, art, and architecture. Everyone is welcome, and the event is free!
