On Sunday we hiked up the famous Platteklip Gorge, a favourite with local hikers and tourists. The weather was perfect, there was no wind blowing.
Please note, on this particular hike, it’s important to bring enough food and snacks, especially water. If not, you can easily get dehydrated and this could be a big problem! There’s no place to buy water on the way up, you can only buy from the restaurant at the top.
So bring money too, if you want to go to the restaurant and if you want to take the cable car down.
Let’s start with this great view from the top!

Dassies! Dassie is the Dutch word for Badger. The ‘Rock Hyrax’ or Rock Badger are the closest living relatives to elephants.
It was a great day, everyone had fun and we finished off the day with sundowners on Camps Bay Beach! Please read our next blog entry of a night out at Dizzy’s!
