On the first weekend of October there was, with over 250 acts and 11 stages, one of the biggest festivals of South Africa called Rocking the Daisies. The festival takes place next to a wine farm in Darling on the west coast; a small hour drive from Cape Town.
We arrived on Thursday in the afternoon and after we set up our tents we went to explore the area. The festival itself was closed on Thursday but specially for this day there were two stages build on the camping area which played music until 2:00 so everybody would be fresh for the real start of the festival on Friday.
It was a great first night but it was also very cold at night, so if you want to go next year I advise you to bring warm clothes and an extra blanket.
This weekend was absolutely unforgettable and if I get the chance I will definitely go again next year.
