One of the awesome things about working or studying at IH is the volunteer work we get to do.
We also get to hang out a lot at all the backpackers in Cape Town! Salty Crax is one such backpackers,
and they do a lot of work with Save Foundation, so we always start at this lovely little place down the
West Coast. It’s always full of happy travelers and awesome people doing cool things.
Here’s some pics of our last mission on Saturday 🙂
First, we had a bleeder. Caval Stander caught her ankle on a razor and it wouldn’t stop
bleeding. Of course our Marketing Director, SAYTC Chairman and former military engineer
came to the rescue with a first aid kit and a gentle touch. 🙂
Here’s a less gruesome pic of Ahmet Konuk from Turkey. Cool guy 🙂
The beautiful German, Maren, and lovely Gail Strauss, Save Foundation Manager.

A Salty Lady…
An old friend leans in for a hug. Everyone loves Gavin…
Awwwwwww!
One of the backpacker dogues.
Look at that snoot! Wow.
Sunny Caval 🙂
Shews.
A hut, made out of Jagermeister bottles. Rad!
Another dogue, low chassis, big rims, wing doors.
Come with us next time on 3 September. We will keep you updated on where we will be going.
Come put your name down on the list with Maren or Victoria.
Lukka!
