This specially designed course is aimed at the Hospitality & Tourism industry to enable your staff to interact with visiting tourists and enrich their overall experience. It will deal with basic greetings, general customer service phrases, important vocabulary and a general understanding of the different cultures. This course is aimed at all service personnel and can be adapted to suit different levels and specific needs.

How we teach…
Only the combination of theory and practice guarantees a successful language study programme. At IH Cape Town, vocabulary , skills , work and conversation are integrated in a communicative and lively atmosphere. Instead of boring rote learning, we make sure that new grammar concepts are taught and practiced in authentic, communicative situations. All students will be engaged in practicing grammar, dialogues, exercises, reading, and using visual aids to promote communication from day one. We consciously create a relaxed, entertaining, and communicative atmosphere in order to enable students to speak a foreign language without inhibition. Our own based lesson material is mixed with standard course books to build on what you already know, develop your conversational skills and vocabulary, or brush up on what you have forgotten. Pronunciation and orthography are also thoroughly covered.
About our teachers…
The quality of a language course is determined by the competency and approach of the instructor. We work exclusively with native speakers who are qualified teachers, in addition to having many years of teaching experience in adult education.
Group- Basic
This course is aimed at those students who would like to develop a basic grasp of conversation and dealing with the elementary use of the language. At this level the student has no real knowledge in the foreign language of their choice. Upon completion of the course you will be able to actively express yourself in everyday situations, such as introducing yourself, speaking about family and friends, asking for directions and other basic situations.
Group- Intermediate / Advanced
The course is aimed at those students who already have a basic grasp of the foreign language, can effectively communicate and have some theoretical knowledge of the basic structures. Upon completion of the course you will be able to actively use these structures, have attained a richer vocabulary and be able to express yourself more suitably.

We also offer bespoke Portuguese/Spanish courses for individual groups or corporate clients. We will tailor the course to suit your field of business or special interest topics that you specify.
