The large government busses operate from early morning to late evening between Sea Point and the V&A Waterfront.

Minibuses

These are shared minibuses that operate in the CBD and Atlantic Seaboard area most frequently.
To Sea Point, Camps Bay, Green Point or the city centre, they can be found on Sea Point Main Road/Regent Street. This is a frequent service during the day. The average price to town is R 5 for one way. They are easy to spot as there is a person in the front of the car shouting where the taxi is going to. All you need to is wave them down and the taxi will stop where you are.

Meter Taxi

This is a convenient door-to-door service. It is R11-00 per km and we advise students to make use of it at night when public transport is not as frequent. We work with a reliable taxi company that we are more that happy to arrange transport with.

Rikki

The Rikki shuttles are bright yellow shuttle that take pick you up where you are and drop you off at central places. Similar to the minibuses, you will be riding with other people in the car who hop on and hop off as you go along. For students’ convenience, a free phone is available at the school.

Driving

South Africa has a good road network, mostly tarred and well signposted. The speed limit is 120km/h on highways and approx. 60km/h within the city. If students intend on hiring a car, they should remember to keep to the LEFT hand side of the road. We recommend having an international driver’s license with you. Often divers under 21 have difficulties hiring a car.
Please ask at reception for very competitive car hire prices
