On March 3 it will be exactly 100 days before kick off in what promises to be the best World Cup tournament ever. “Soccer City” in Johannesburg, with a capacity of 95 000 seats, was recently renovated into an iconic monument to the beautiful game. Cape Town’s Green Point stadium, now known as Cape Town stadium, was rebuilt and now seats 68 000 fans.
Port Elizabeth’s new Nelson Mandela Stadium, the newly constructed and spectacular Durban Stadium, Mbombela stadium in Nelspruit and the Peter Mokaba stadium in Polokwane add to the new facilities created for the tournament. These massive complexes, along with an upgraded Loftus Versveld in Tshwane/Pretoria, will welcome hundreds of thousands of football fans from around the world.
