Cape Town’s Green Point stadium, now known as Cape Town stadium, was rebuilt and now seats 68 000 fans.
Port Elizabeth’s new Nelson Mandela Stadium, the newly constructed and spectacular Durban Stadium, Mbombela stadium in Nelspruit and the Peter Mokaba stadium in Polokwane add to the new facilities created for the tournament.
