Summer Sunset Concerts

What better way to start your week off than by unwinding among the beauty of the Kirstenbosch
Botanical Gardens!! The open-air amphitheatre concerts cater for all music tastes. From
jazz, folk, rock to big band swing. The concerts are held every Sunday between 17h30 and
18h30. Bring along your picnic basket and blanket and enjoy a bottle of good Cape wine
while listening to the best in South African music at the foot of the majestic Table
Mountain.
Big names to look out for include Johnny Clegg, Claire Philips, Freshlyground, Goldfish,
Just Jinjer and many more. There will also be to Carols by Candelight evenings.

THE PARLOTONES – Live in Concert

Something to look forward to this coming weekend… Check out the Parlotones LIVE in concert as they end off the last leg of their 2009 World Tour, right here, on their home ground!
The tour is in support of their latest album, “Stardust Galaxies”, and is the band’s biggest international tour to date. The tour included performances in Australia, the United Kingdom and Europe.
“Stardust Galaxies” was released on 30 October 2009
The concert will be opened by CrashCarBurn at 20h00 followed by the Parlotones with a 90 minute set including previous hits as well as songs off the new album.

Whisky Live Festival

The FNB Whisky Live Festival has become the largest festival of its kind, attracting more visitors and brands than any other whisky festival globally. South Africa’s premium market has grown substantially over the past year, putting us 6th in the world by volume!
This year’s show has over 180 whiskies and includes at least 4 new product launches that will be available for sampling for the first time.
The festival will comprise of 2 parts:
The Tasting Hall:
- taste whiskiesfrom Scotland, America, Ireland and South Africa
- meet whisky master distillers and understand their passion

Whiskey Workshops: – hosted by master distillers and global ambassadors and run
concurrently to the Tasting Hall in a seperate meeting room.
